“Vera Archives: See the Wisdom”
Thursday, Sept 9th, 5 p.m. at Richard Hugo House
ZAPP and The Vera Project will be hosting a living history project featuring a personal selection of show posters, audio, photos and other special finds accumulated during Vera’s 10-year history with the opportunity for visitors to share and write their experiences about them on Thursday, September 9, 5 p.m. at Richard Hugo House. The exhibit will run until Thursday, October 7th.
Intern Tom Heuser selected posters from shows he’s attended, misprints, bands he likes and one’s that simply stood out after completing a duel internship with ZAPP and The Vera Project. He developed an archive of The Vera Project’s poster collection under the guidance of professional archivist Josh Zimmerman. Posters will range from local bands, like The Murder City Devils to nationally known bands like Danzig. Select audio and a slideshow from past Vera Project shows will also be included.
Tom created a zine documenting his internships at ZAPP and The Vera Project; ten limited edition hand-crafted copies, will be handed out to a select group, as well as 100 photocopies that will be distributed first come first serve.
