Dearest Community,

As Seattle is enveloped by the comforting chill and vibrant tree lines that exemplify this season of change, The Vera Project too has been growing, changing, and moving ever-forward.

We’ve spent the last year welcoming folx into our community, investing in partnerships new and old, refining internal systems, leaning into our community organizing roots, and elevating our vital role in the city of Seattle and beyond. While we prepare to enter our 18th year of providing alternative arts education, experiential learning opportunities, and creative workforce development pathways for all ages, we’ll face a whole new set of challenges and opportunities.

From the new KeyArena redevelopment project to the dismantling of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, The Vera Project is at the center of our city’s vast transformation. Though we are incredibly excited to be a part of these changes, this is a crucial time for our community to remain resilient and our work relevant, dynamic, and accessible.

You may have seen posters around town on telephone poles and in coffee-shops, featuring heartfelt reminders from our membership that VERA IS… alive, community, radical, transformative, and, most importantly, HOME.  VERA truly is a home to so many artists, young leaders, self-proclaimed outcasts, and folx on the margins who are looking for a community to welcome them in. And we need your help to keep it that way.

Contribute to our Fall Fund Drive this year to support the space that so many of us call home, and help build toward our shared future!  Here’s how:

  • Text “VERA” to 206-801-1518 to support us on the go

  • Keep an eye out for our #GivingTuesday campaign leading up to 11/27/18

With True & Sincere Gratitude,
