Here are some brief descriptions of what you can do at the shows:
Sound Assistant: arrive at 5 pm. Works with lead sound engineer to set up stage and sound check bands. Runs monitor console during show. Required experience: Sound 101 and Sound 102 Mixing for Monitors
Sound Runner: Assist in setting up and tearing down of stage. Help bands move gear on and off of stage and help with any problems that might occur while bands are paying. Required experience: Vera Sound 101
Stage Manager: Liaise between sound engineer and bands to keep backstage and show organized and running on time. Job requires you to have ease with talking to performers. Taking Sound 101 helpful but not required for this position.
Lighting: Run all lighting for the night – Adjust lights to artist’s requests accordingly. Demonstration of skills and experience required (Lead Sound Engineer will check in with you night of).
Cleanup is a great volunteer position because you really help Vera a ton and you get to see the whole concert unfettered! Cleanup volunteers must arrive on time, and cannot leave early!

Outside Roamer: Cleans the outside perimeter of the building
Lead Door (Members ONLY): Greet everyone as they come in and handle all cash ticket transactions, as well as club card reimbursements. Since this position is responsible for mass cash, it’s for Members only.
Support Door: Also greet everyone as they come in and handle all will-call and guest list entries.
Front Door Security: Check bags for unsavory items, and make sure folks coming in are sober and safe
ODDS & ENDS
Concessions: You should feel comfortable dealing with both people and money. Responsible for selling food, beverages and Vera merchandise to show goers. You keep track of what you sell on an inventory sheet.
Photographer: Document the magic by taking pictures of performers and the audience. Bring your own camera or use Vera’s.
