In this four-week class, learn how to create eye-catching posters and marketing images for performances with artist Maxx Follis-Goodkind. You’ll learn how to use text, collage and your own art to design compositions. Maxx will walk you through the basics of graphic design and how to apply them to marketing for the entertainment and performing arts industry.
2021 Workshop Dates:
- January 6 – 27th (Wednesdays), 6 – 7:30 pm
- March 3 -24th (Wednesdays), 6 – 7:30 pm
- May 3 – 24th (Mondays), 6 – 7:30pm
Technology required: Access to graphic design software (recommended ProCreate or Photoshop), a computer or phone with internet access. All class materials take place on Google Classroom and Zoom.
About the Instructor: Maxx has been creating concert posters since she was 16, booking bands in her parents’ garage. She’s created marketing materials for dozens of bands and events over the years, at dozens of venues in Seattle. Poster design is one of the magical places where visual and performing arts join forces and Maxx can’t wait to show you how.
