The VERA Project Civic Engagement team is excited to announce two free of cost community organizing workshops hosted at the Vera Project space*. These workshops are open to people of all ages, no experience required!

*Proof of COVID vaccination and masks required to participate in workshops at VERA.

10/2 — Printing for the Revolution – partnership with Ghost Space Studio
  • When: Sun October 2, 1 — 3:30pm 
  • Where: Vera Screenprint Studio (305 Harrison St., corner of Warren & Republican)
  • What: learn principles of visual art as activism, screenprinting basics, and come home with your own printed piece of propaganda
  • no experience necessary – bring a light colored cotton t-shirt to print on!
  • RSVP required due to limited capacity in the studio

11/12 — Workplace Unionizing 101

  • When: Sat. November 12, 3 — 4pm
  • Where: Vera Showroom  (305 Harrison St., corner of Warren & Republican)
  • What: learn principles of workplace organizing such as discussing with coworkers, forming networks, and steps to take when unionizing
  • open to everyone, no experience with workplace organizing required!
