Vera’s Screenprint Studio offers four-hour Open Sessions where individuals who have completed the introductory class may use our professional screen print lab to work on their own projects. Our Open Sessions are looked over by a volunteer moderator, who can provide you with advice and guidance for anything taught in our Screen Printing 101 class. If you are looking for more in-depth help and guidance on a specific project, please email us about paid private teaching sessions.
Open sessions are typically scheduled for the 1st Wednesday (4-8 PM), 2nd Friday (2-6 PM), and 4th Saturday (12-4 PM) of each month. Our next Open Session dates are:
Wednesday December 6, 4-8 PM (FULLY BOOKED – please email to join the waitlist)
Friday December 15, 2-6 PM (FULLY BOOKED – please email to join the waitlist)
Friday January 12, 2-6 PM
Saturday January 27, 12-4 PM
To sign up for an Open Session, please email info@theveraproject.org with the following information:
- Your name
- Confirmation that you have taken the SP 101 class
- What slot you’d like to book: Paper printing, Fabric Printing, or just screen prep
- Once you receive confirmation of your session, pay the Square invoice online.
We are not currently offering new punch cards, but hope to do so in the future. We will honor existing punch cards. If you are unable to pay your Square invoice online, please let us know over email, and we can arrange an alternate payment method. The cost of the open session fee includes: access to the facilities, on-premises use of VERA’s screens, emulsion, emulsion remover, and packing tape. You just bring your project’s image on a transparency (there is a FedEx nearby), ink, and the paper/textiles you want to screen on.
