In mid-October we threw VIVA VERA 2026, our premier party bringing together more than a quarter-century of VERA community. We remembered each beautiful and raucous show; laughed over stories of our friends; dreamt about what can be in the decades to come and then helped make it real.
The night brought together more than two decades of alumni, leaders, artists, supporters, and young people of all ages to revel in all that their hard work has built for our community – from those first shows in IBEW Local 46’s union hall to establishing our long-term home at the Seattle Center and reviving the culturally significant Black Lodge punk space. It was a night of storytelling, surprise performances, and building capacity for the next 25 years.

VV26 will be the largest milestone of our 25th Anniversary Comprehensive Campaign, a $2.5 million community-led effort funding:
- A new 400-capacity, mutual-aid focused venue in Georgetown – VERA’s boldest investment yet in the future of independent music and arts
- Free, all-ages shows that keep music accessible to everyone
- DIY education programs that train the next wave of artists, engineers, and show organizers
We’re building something the status quo won’t: a Seattle where culture isn’t a luxury, and community isn’t for sale. We can have the DIY-driven city we want, de-commodified and built together.
Couldn’t make it to Viva Vera?
