Digital Production Lab Northwest: Now Accepting Applications
Digital Production Lab NW: New Equip the Kids Program
The Vera Project and Northwest Arts Streaming Hub (NASH) are excited to present Digital Production Lab Northwest: a new, free-of-cost media production career training and curatorial program for youth ages 15-24. Youth selected for this four-month program will get hands-on experience in audio, video, design, and livestream production; opportunities to meet with diverse leaders in the digital creative industry; and direct access to paid production opportunities with local organizations.
Apply to one or both tracks for this program:
(1) A Digital Production Learning Cohort – The cohort will participate in 3 intensive weekend trainings with industry professionals, have access to a variety of on-demand advanced tutorials, receive a $500 grant to purchase personal production equipment, and a $250 stipend to complete two projects which will stream live in May as part of NASH at Nite (a Northwest variety show). No experience required to participate! Training weekend dates: Feb 26-28, Mar 13-14, Mar 27-28.
(2) A Curatorial Fellowship – Fellows will work closely with mentors in the industry to curate and produce an 8-episode season of NASH at Nite (a variety show amplifying local artists in the Northwest)in April-May. Each Fellow will receive a $600 stipend per episode curated. This opportunity is tailored to folks who already have some digital production skills.
BIPOC, LGBTQ2S, womxn, and youth with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply. Throughout the program, all participants will have access to The Vera Project’s Lending Library, a variety of video, audio and computer equipment available thanks to community members like you and various sponsors.
